Training Selection Letter — Physiotherapist Pathway

Dear Candidate,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been shortlisted for the 7-Day Paid Physiotherapy Training Program at ADK Hospital, Malé — one of only 20 candidates chosen from a highly competitive applicant pool. Please note this letter confirms your training seat, not employment.
On successful completion of the training, candidates selected on clinical performance will receive a formal offer to work full-time as Physiotherapist at the hospital — issued at the Day 7 ceremony. Your performance across the week (supervised clinics 30% · OSCE 30% · DOPS/Mini-CEX 20% · MCQ 10% · presentation & professionalism 10%, pass mark 70%) decides selection.
1 · The training program
- Cohort: 20 shortlisted candidates training together at the Dept. of Rehabilitation & Shafi'a Institute labs, 8:30am–4:30pm daily + 2 supervised ward shadowing evenings.
- Stipend: MVR 1,400 for the 7 days, paid on full attendance and successful completion of all assessments.
- Attendance: all 7 days are mandatory. Any absence disqualifies you from the stipend, the completion certificate and the Day 7 job selection.
- Certification: training materials, BLS attendance certification and a graded completion transcript are issued on Day 7.
2 · Travel & accommodation
- Travel: candidates applying from outside Maldives must bear their own travel cost to and from Malé. Airport pickup can be arranged on request — contact HR in advance.
- Accommodation: the hospital provides 7 nights within or adjoining the hospital premises (single occupancy) + breakfast & working lunch. The 7 days cannot be extended — checkout is on the evening of Day 7.
3 · Path to employment (on successful completion)
- Selected candidates receive the full-time Physiotherapist offer on Day 7 (Dept. of Rehabilitation — Orthopaedics · Neurology · Cardio-Respiratory), 48 hrs/week rostered including on-call, reporting to the Head of Rehabilitation.
- Indicative full-time terms: competitive monthly salary in MVR (fixed per final HR letter; overtime/on-call per policy) · assisted housing or housing allowance · staff health coverage + Aasandha coordination · 30 days annual leave + sick & family leave per the Maldives Employment Act · hospital-sponsored work visa/permit with council-registration assistance · 3-month probation.
- On signing the job offer you enter a binding employment agreement with ADK Hospital.
4 · Language & eligibility
- English fluency is a must — clinical notes, handovers and patient counselling at ADK are conducted in English, and communication is formally assessed during the training.
- Candidates selected for the job must hold an IELTS score of 5.5 or above (certificate to be produced before joining).
- Knowledge of the Maldivian language (Dhivehi) is an added advantage for patient rapport across the atolls.
- Valid BPT/BSc Physiotherapy (or equivalent), council registration, ≥1 yr clinical experience preferred. Originals for verification on Day 1: degree, transcripts, registration, experience letters, passport, photos; police clearance may follow within 30 days.
